Global Infrastructure Partners and wpd have signed definitive agreements for GIP to acquire 100 percent of GmbH, the offshore-wind business of wpd. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
wpd offshore is an offshore-wind platform with more than 20 years of development experience, a track record of 7 gigawatts developed to date, and a presence in 14 European and Asia Pacific markets. wpd offshore's portfolio includes interests in five projects operating or under-construction in Germany, France and Taiwan; and more than 30 gigawatts in global, highly diversified offshore-wind pipelines in various stages of development.
