Western Sydney International Airport partners with Charter Hall to deliver stage one of business precinct

by Kali Persall

Work is now under way on a new business precinct at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) that will initially serve thousands of workers who are building the airport and its extensive connecting infrastructure. The precinct will later adapt to meet the evolving needs of airport customers and the local community.

WSI has established a 50/50 joint venture partnership with Australian property group Charter Hall to deliver the first stage of the business precinct. Upon completion, the 20-hectare (49-acre) mixed-use development will include up to 40,000 square meters (430,556 square feet) of modern warehouse space, ancillary offices, a 150-room hotel that will service flight crews, a service station, convenience retail (including food and beverage outlets) and gym and conference facilities. Construction of the first stage of the business precinct also includes internal and external roads, connections to arterial roads and landscaping.
