Elena García Ortiz has joined UL as a solar engineer on its solar advisory team.
UL is an independent advisory, testing, inspection and certification body for a broad range of industries. The company’s renewables group provides a comprehensive portfolio of wind, solar and other renewable energy services.
Ortiz previously worked as a senior quality engineer and project manager for utility-scale solar projects. She has substantial experience in design, construction and commissioning aspects and has spent a lot of time onsite for solar project execution.
Ortiz has more than eight years of experience in the solar sector and has extensive experience in the Middle East. She holds a master of engineering degree with honors in energy engineering from the University of Oviedo and currently lives in Dubai.
