Tikehau Capital pens agrivoltaic partnership with NOVAFRANCE Energy

Tikehau Capital and NOVAFRANCE Energy have teamed up to finance a program of 5,000 photovoltaic poultry shelters, which will be deployed on French poultry farms and will protect animals from heat, weather and predators while producing green energy.

NOVAFRANCE Energy specializes in agrivoltaics to design agricultural solutions for animal welfare by producing renewable electricity. The investment program will seek to deploy €50 million ($50.5 million) during the next few years, for a potential photovoltaic capacity of 300 megawatts peak.

The deployment of these poultry shelter projects will be accompanied by an agroforestry program to provide immediate artificial shelter and long-term natural shelter for animals.

The funding will be provided by Tikehau Capital's Green Assets strategy, which finances, builds and operates small, decentralized assets that reduce the carbon footprint of their end users. The fund focuses on energy efficiency in buildings and industri
