The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has unveiled three commitments on behalf of its energy, natural resources and infrastructure (ENRI) portfolio made during the month of June.
The pension fund committed $150 million to Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, a value-add fund managed by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners; $100 million to Formentera Partners Fund II, an opportunistic fund managed by Formentera Partners; and $99 million to Encap Agamar, an opportunistic fund managed by EnCap Investment.
Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI launched in 2022, and news sources put the fundraising target at $7 billion to $8 billion. The previous fund in the series, Macquarie Infrastructure Partners V, closed in 2021 with $6.9 billion in capital commitments.
