The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has unveiled a $100 million investment to the ISQ Co-Investment Fund, managed by I Squared Capital Advisors.
The co-invest is spread across I Squared Capital’s platform, however, it is affiliated with Fund I in the series, a spokesperson from the pension fund confirmed.
The commitment was made on behalf of Texas TRS’ energy, natural resources and infrastructure (ENRI) mandate. The mandate is part of the pension fund’s larger private markets portfolio, which includes a 6 percent target allocation to ENRI. Within ENRI, Texas TRS’ strategies include value-add, opportunistic and core.
