Susan Uthayakumar has stepped into the new role of chief sustainability and energy officer at Prologis.
In her new role, Uthayakumar will evaluate and scale both existing and emerging energy solutions across the company’s platform, and partner with the company's ESG team on strategy, progress, stakeholder engagement and related initiatives.
Uthayakumar previously served as president of its Sustainability Business Division and as CEO of Schneider Canada during her 16-year tenure with Schneider Electric.
Prologis has committed to achieving 100 percent carbon-neutral construction globally by 2025 as part of the company's efforts to reduce carbon emissions and meet its science-based targets. It also is working with customers to decarbonize their operations and now ranks third among U.S. companies in on-site solar capacity with its rooftop solar installations.
