Stafford Capital Partners makes €100m secondary investment in DIF Infrastructure V

Stafford Capital Partners, an independent private markets investment and advisory firm with $8.2 billion in assets under management, has invested around €100 million ($106 million) through a secondary transaction in DIF Capital Partners’ fifth flagship infrastructure fund, DIF Infrastructure V.

DIF V, a 24-asset portfolio of public-private partnership concessions, regulated assets and renewable energy projects primarily in Europe, North America and Australasia, completed a €1.9 billion ($2 billion) final closing in May 2018. The investment marks the first LP secondary to be completed in the 2017-vintage infrastructure fund, according to Stafford.

Stafford acquired the investment from a single U.K. corporate pension scheme through its fourth infrastructure secondaries fund, Stafford Infrastructure Secondaries Fund IV, bringing the fund’s committed capital to €280 million ($299 million).
