European demand for fiber to commercial businesses, as well as continued high demand for fiber to the residence, is still elevated from the accelerated demand that rose as a result of work-from-home requirements during the pandemic, explains Jamie Crotin, managing director for Fiera Infrastructure, in an interview published in the October issue of Institutional Investment in Infrastructure. Even inflation has not slowed demand too much. “Inflation has a different impact in the data center and tower segments, but for fiber, there are a number of economies of scale. By generating economies of scale, you can manage some of that inflation pressure,” says Crotin. “That is not to say we haven’t been affected by inflation just like everybody else, but we have definitely done a lot of work focusing on activities that increase productivity and efficiency, including through software and systems.” To access a pdf of the Sponsored Section,
