Digital and telecom have become “enablers of change” in the infrastructure sector, becoming an essential element of each sector, rather than remaining a sector unto itself, says Stéphane Calas, partner, telecom and digital infrastructure and smart cities, at Cube Infrastructure Managers. In an interview published in the January issue of Institutional Investment in Infrastructure, Calas explains these changes and the larger trend toward digitalization affect multiple areas of infrastructure, including transportation, logistics and energy. “This is why we refer to telecom and digital as the infrastructure underpinning infrastructure,” says Calas. “In the coming years, we expect a shift in the investment focus away from a pure sector-based approach, to a more thematic approach, as these subsectors increasingly overlap and interact with each other.” To access a pdf of the Sponsored Section,
