Sempra Infrastructure partners with Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission for critical energy-infrastructure projects

by Kali Persall

Sempra Infrastructure and Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), have partnered on several agreements advancing the joint-development of critical energy-infrastructure projects in Mexico.

The projects include the rerouting of the Guaymas-El Oro pipeline in Sonora, the proposed Vista Pacífico LNG project in Topolobampo, Sinaloa, and the potential development of a LNG terminal in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.

These development projects would allow CFE to potentially optimize the use of existing natural gas pipeline systems, provide additional sources of LNG supply for isolated markets in Mexico and continue to expand LNG supplies to the global market.

These development projects are subject to a number of conditions.
