Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, is planning to commit up to $160 million to Aberdeen Standard Investcorp Infrastructure Partners, a planned $800 million Middle East infrastructure fund launched by Aberdeen Standard Investments and Investcorp.
According to Bloomberg, the fund also has secured a $90 commitment from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The rest of the financing is expected to come from a variety of investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, family offices and private clients.
The fund will invest in the healthcare, education and utilities industries in the Middle East.
