RWE has acquired Polish photovoltaic (PV) development company Alpha Solar, strengthening its European renewables business.
With the acquisition, RWE takes over a 3-gigawatts solar-project pipeline in Poland, adding to its existing global development pipeline of 10 gigawatts in solar projects. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The majority of projects are utility-scale and in various stages of development. The maturity of projects ranges from early phase identified opportunities to ready-to-build projects.
