RPMI Railpen, the investment manager for the £30 billion ($38 billion) railway pension schemes, has hired three people in an effort to expand its real assets team.
Lewis Vanstone will serve as deputy portfolio manager, focusing on infrastructure investments alongside Alena Antonava, who was appointed as an investment manager. Julian Allport, who joins Railpen from Aviva Investors, will also serve as an investment manager, focusing on long-income real estate investments.
Vanstone previously specialized in energy infrastructure projects at Foresight Group and Antonava worked at Arcus Infrastructure Partners.
“Lewis, Alena and Julian add a new dimension to the Long-term Income Fund team’s expertise, particularly in developing our in-house direct-transaction capabilities,” said Anna Rule, head of real assets at Railpen, in a statement.
