Costa Rican transport service Incofer is seeking a private partner to participate in the pre-qualification process for a $1.55 billion passenger rail network concession, according to InfraPPP.
The private partner will be responsible for the design, finance, construction, operation and maintenance of the Electric Train network for the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM).
The electric train project includes an 86-kilometer (53-mile), double-track crossing that will cover the four provinces of the GAM. The scope of works involves the development of five rail lines.
The deadline to submit qualifications is Nov. 24.
