Q Energy, an affiliate of the Korean enterprise Hanwha Solutions, has entered the renewable-energy market in the Netherlands, with plans to develop a 300-megawatt solar portfolio with the Dutch solar developer Tomorrow Energy.
The partners have agreed to co-develop 21 solar projects ranging between 4 megawatts and 40 megawatts in size, primarily located in the southern portion of the Netherlands. They will also explore innovative solutions such as energy storage, agrivoltaics and green hydrogen.
The 21 projects are expected to be constructed and connected to the grid within the next three years.
