OX2 to acquire rights to 150MW Klevberget wind-farm project in Sweden

by Kali Persall

OX2 is planning to acquire the rights from Vattenfall to build a 150-megawatt wind farm in Sweden.

Located in the municipality of Ånge, the Klevberget wind-farm project was originally headed by a local group of local landowners until 2018, when the necessary permit was obtained and Vattenfall took over. The company refined the project further with grid concessions, detailed planning and complementary inventories. After OX2 acquires the project, it will undergo construction in 2022.

Following completion, the Klevberget wind farm will be an addition to OX2's Swedish project development portfolio for late-stage onshore wind power.

“We are looking forward to working alongside landowners, the Sámi community, residents and the municipality,” said Hillevi Priscar, country manager, Sweden, OX2. “We would like to thank Vattenfall for trusting us to continue to develop this project and for its successful development so far.”
