Orange County Employees allots $100m for EQT Infrastructure Fund VI

Orange County (Calif.) Employees Retirement System (OCERS) has committed $100 million to EQT Infrastructure Fund VI.

In September 2022, EQT set the target size for the EQT Infrastructure VI fund at €20 billion ($21 billion).

IREI understands this is OCERS’ first real assets commitment of the year, following its pacing plan of investing up to $250 million in two to four commitments.

EQT Infrastructure’s thematic investment strategy is focused on backing companies within its core sectors: energy, transport and logistics, environmental, digital and social infrastructure. EQT Infrastructure VI fund’s investment strategy and commercial terms are expected to be materially in line with the predecessor fund EQT Infrastructure V, which closed in November 2021 with €15.7 billion ($17.1 billion) in capital commitments.
