The $18.45 billion School Employees Retirement System of Ohio’s (SERS) investment committee has approved a $15 million commitment to GIP Pegasus Fund, an infrastructure strategy within the real assets portfolio.
GIP Pegasus Fund is managed by Global Infrastructure Management, an infrastructure investor that seeks to deliver returns by investing in infrastructure assets that empower economies and societies across the globe. Global Infrastructure Management invests in sectors such as energy, digital, transportation, and water and waste.
Earlier in April, the Teacher Retirement System of Texas also committed $30 million to GIP Pegasus Fund. A fundraising target for the investment vehicle could not be determined at the time of publication.
SERS said its investment will be funded from cash reserves.
