New Mexico SIC re-ups $200m in BlackRock, Brookfield infrastructure funds

The New Mexico State Investment Council (NMSIC) has slated $200 million for two infrastructure funds managed by BlackRock and Brookfield.

The sovereign wealth fund has plans to commit $100 million each to BlackRock Global Infrastructure Fund IV (BGIF IV) and Brookfield Infrastructure V, according to a recent board meeting document.

BlackRock seeks to raise $7.5 billion for its fourth global infrastructure fund. Earlier funds carried the Global Energy and Power Infrastructure moniker and focused more narrowly on traditional energy and power assets, according to NMSIC. This re-up would be NMSIC’s third c
