Mirova enters Baltic Storage Platform JV as a third shareholder

Mirova, a subsidiary affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has entered into the capital of the joint venture Baltic Storage Platform, founded by Corsica Sole, an independent producer of solar energy and an energy storage player in Europe, and Evecon, a renewable-energy developer in the Baltic countries.

Created in August 2023, the Baltic Storage Platform joint venture aims to develop, build and operate high-capacity battery storage plants in Estonia and more generally in the Baltic countries.

On Nov. 20, 2023, Corsica Sole and Evecon announced the construction of two storage plants in Estonia with a total power of 200 megawatts and a total capacity of 400 megawatt-hours, planned for 2025. These power plants will help ensure the stability and resilience of the Estonian electricity grid in disconnecting from the Russian power grid and synchronizing to the European grid.
