Mapletree Investment Trust has paid $26 million to add an additional data center in Minnesota to its portfolio, as part of an agreement signed with Sila Realty Trust in May.
As part of the agreement, Singapore-based Mapletree signed on to pay Sila $1.32 billion for a portfolio of 29 data center properties. Just weeks ago, Elias DC Assets, an entity affiliated with Mapletree, acquired a facility operated by DataBank in Minnesota for $9 million.
The newest data center acquired by Mapletree is known as Feltl Road and is located within the Opus Business Park in the city of Minnetonka. It is listed as a Lumen data center and spans around 135,000 square feet, with 12,000 square feet of colocation floorspace and 2 megawatts of capacity, according to Data Center Dynamics.
