Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets has launched a new infrastructure fund, Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, according to a recent document filed by the SEC.
An equity fundraising target was not disclosed for the vehicle; however, the previous fund in the series closed with $6.9 billion in capital commitments in July 2021. That fund, Macquarie Infrastructure Partners V, seeks to invest in high-quality infrastructure assets and is primarily focused on the transportation, communications, waste management, utilities and energy sectors.
