Investec Aviation Finance provides $100m senior debt facility to Airborne Capital

Investec Aviation Finance has provided more than $100 million of financing to Airborne Capital, an Irish specialist aircraft lease and asset manager.

The senior debt facility was secured against a portfolio of five young narrow-body aircraft. Each aircraft had a different lessee, including a mix of flag carriers and low-cost carriers, according to Airborne Capital. The facility was structured to cater to specific lease extension options while also addressing the maintenance contributions and end-of-lease return obligations.

“This deal will allow us to continue growing our business and client base.” noted Anand Ramachandran, CFO at Airborne Capital. “It was a pleasure to complete this first transaction with Investec, and we look forward to working with its team again in future.”
