by Kali Persall

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has promoted Michael Lindsay to president and CEO, effective Nov. 1.

Lindsay currently serves as president project delivery, a position he has held since July 2019, according to his LinkedIn page. Before that he served as head of strategic partnerships and government at Investment Management Corp. of Ontario (IMCO), an independent investment management firm designed to serve public-sector clients in Ontario. Previously, he served as global director, infrastructure planning and advisory, at Hatch.

IO provides a broad range of expertise to government regarding its assets, including project delivery, asset management and commercial advice. According to a statement from IO, Lindsay’s experience at IO, in the private sector and as a special adviser to government on transit, make him well suited to lead the company.

Lindsay will succeed Ehren Cory, who has served as president and CEO since 2017 and worked at the company for eight years. C
