Infracapital and InfraVia Capital Partners to sell Italian container terminal TDT

Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G, and InfraVia Capital Partners, an independent French private equity firm, have agreed to sell their 100 percent stake in Terminal Darsena Toscana (TDT) to the Grimaldi Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TDT is the leading Italian terminal for refrigerated cargo and is the first in Italy to be equipped with an electrified direct connection to the national railway network, without intermediate handlings, according to the company’s website.

Infracapital and InfraVia bought an 80 percent stake in TDT, located in Livorno, Italy, as part of the acquisition of Gruppo Investimenti Portuali (GIP) in 2017 and acquired an additional 20 percent stake in 2018. During their ownership period, Infracapital and InfraVia supported TDT in developing its leadership as the origin and destination port serving the central and northeastern Italian markets.
