India’s renewable energy sector is positioned for a surge of investments in the coming years, according to The Economic Times India.
Investments will be in indigenous products, startups, transmission assets and the generation space.
“India had about $10 billion of foreign direct investment from 2000 to 2020 in the renewable energy sector, and of this over 50 percent has come in the past five years,” said Deepak Bagla, managing director and CEO of Invest India, who said the country has huge potential in terms of investment opportunities.
