​​Greenman Energy to roll out hyper-charging stations in Germany

​​Greenman Energy has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) hyper-charging station as part of an agreement signed with GP JOULE CONNECT.

The company will install four hyper-charging EV units in the car park of the Mahlsdorf market retail center in Berlin, which is owned by its sister fund Greenman OPEN. The units have the capacity to charge an EV with around 200 kilometers (124 miles) worth of charge in 20 minutes. The electricity for the chargers will come from PVs located on 5,000 square meters (53,819 square feet) of the center’s roof space, on top of the EDEKA and KiK markets. The charging station is expected to be operational in November 2022.

Greenman Energy intends to rapidly roll out hyper-charging stations across all Greenman OPEN’s 75 assets at supermarkets. In addition, Greenman Energy will also seek to place their hyper-charging stations at supermarkets not owned by Greenman OPEN. By 2030, they expect to have around 270 operational charging stati
