ENERCON has sold its 21-megawatt Heringen-Waltersberg wind farm to the ENERCON Wind Onshore Deutschland I investment fund, a closed-end reserved alternative investment fund.
The fund is the first investment product of the fund platform for institutional investors launched by ENERCON in spring 2021. The platform’s goal is to advance the marketing of onshore wind projects in Germany and Europe and to offer ENERCON customers access to institutional investors and capital providers when realizing their project plans.
The fund comprises 31 wind energy converters in five operating wind farms in Germany, with a total nominal power of 79 megawatts.
“The sale of this showcase project is further proof of the great confidence investors have in our wind energy converter technology, and in ENERCON as a manufacturer and project partner for realizing onshore projects,” said Peter Koßmann, financial adviser at ENERCON.
