Delaware Public Employees backs latest Vision Ridge fund

by Kali Persall

The Delaware Public Employees’ Retirement System has committed $15 million to Vision Ridge Partners Sustainable Asset Fund III, an infrastructure fund managed by Vision Ridge Partners.

Vision Ridge is a firm that invests in sustainable projects and ventures. The fund series invests fundamentally in impact sectors, with a focus on energy, agriculture, transportation and real estate.

The fund’s predecessor closed in 2018 and has $670 million in commitment capital and $100 million in co-investment capital, according to Vision Ridge’s website. It is focused on real assets in areas such as electric-vehicle charging, energy efficiency and solar power.

The first fund in the series closed in 2014 with $430 million in capital commitments, specifically targeting sustainably managed real assets in industry verticals including water, agriculture, energy efficiency, renewable-power generation, land/biomass and transportation.
