CPP Investments invests €245m in renewable platform in the U.K.

The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) has committed up to €245 million ($301 million) to its newly launched Renewable Power Capital (RPC) platform in the United Kingdom.

RPC was launched by CPP Investments in December to invest in solar, onshore wind and battery storage, among other technologies, across Europe.

The platform has made its first investment in European renewables with the acquisition of a portfolio of three wind farms from OX2. OX2 has been contracted to construct the wind farms and will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the assets upon their commissioning.
