The Denver Interstate 70 expansion project will cost the Colorado Department of Transportation $2.2 billion over 30 years.
Colorado Department of Transportation will be working with Kiewit Meridiam, which bid to finance, design and build the $1.2 billion construction project, and then operate and maintain the widened 10-mile stretch for three decades.
The team is led by two companies: Kiewit Infrastructure Group Inc., part of the employee-owned construction company based in Omaha, Neb.; and the North American arm of Paris-based Meridiam, a global investor in infrastructure.
