Citigroup has hired Luisa Leyenaar-Huntingford as its global infrastructure co-head.
Leyenaar-Huntingford will be based in London and will share responsibility with Todd Guenther in New York, reported Reuters.
Previously, she was at Goldman Sachs for three years in the infrastructure investment banking unit. She has also worked at RBC Capital Markets during a 21-year investment banking career.
“Capital raised by infrastructure private equity funds has doubled in recent years, and the infrastructure sector is poised for further growth driven by significant private investment demand across the globe to deal with environmental, energy, transportation, waste, communication/digital and other social needs,” according to a memo from Anthony Diamandakis and John Eydenberg, co-heads of Citi’s alternative asset managers unit, and Nacho Gutierrez, its head of banking, capital markets and advisory for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
