CEE Group acquires German wind farm

by Released 4/25/17

CEE Group is expanding its wind power portfolio in Germany by acquiring eight wind power plants in the Windpark Vormark near the municipality of Großpankow (Prignitz) in Brandenburg, Germany.

The wind farm consists of eight 3.45 megawatt Vestas V126 turbines. The total output of the wind park is 27.6 megawatts. The wind power plants, which were ordered in February and March, are ready to provide environmentally friendly electricity for about 21,000 households each year.

The seller in the transaction is a consortium consisting of the Danish European Energy A / S and the Berlin Green Wind Energy GmbH. CEE Operations, which manages CEE Group’s portfolio of power plants, is responsible for the commercial operation of the company. Green Wind Operations GmbH, a sister company of Green Wind Energy GmbH, assumes the technical management.

“We are increasingly focusing on the repowering of old plants and have also doubled the megawatt output in Großpankow by using new, highly efficient systems,” says Martin Kühl, managing director of GreenWind Energy GmbH.

With the Windpark Vormark, CEE Group’s renewable energy portfolio is growing to around 585 megawatts. In 2017, CEE energy parks are expected to produce around 920,000 megawatt hours of electricity from renewable sources.
