The Carlyle Group invests in Canada’s Amp Energy

The Carlyle Group has committed $374 million to Amp Solar Group, a Canadian global energy transition platform.

Since 2009, Amp Energy has developed more than 1.8 gigawatts of distributed and utility-scale renewable generation projects, hybrid generation plus storage projects and stand-alone battery storage projects around the world.

The Carlyle investment is expected to help catalyze the continued growth of both Amp’s asset base and Amp X, Amp Energy’s proprietary digital energy platform, within core markets of North America, Japan, Australia, Iberia and the United Kingdom.
