Capital Dynamics’ clean energy business has acquired three solar PV projects in Italy from a major international developer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Two of the assets, which were acquired in September 2022, have begun construction and are expected to reach commercial operations in third quarter 2023. The third asset, acquired in March 2023, is expected to begin construction in the third quarter and become operational in 2024. Once operational, the projects are estimated to generate approximately 220 gigawatt hours of clean energy per year, the equivalent of avoiding 59,180 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The projects will be supported by long-term power-purchase agreements.
