Global telecommunications operator BSO has entered the South American market with the launch of 10 new data center locations.
According to BSO, these sites are spread across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru . BSO is also in the process of connecting to Brazil’s data center B3, the country’s largest liquidity hub and a major financial center for international traders, market makers, banks and financial services firms.
In addition, BSO has partnered with EdgeUno and Seaborn in establishing its first Amazon Web Services cloud onramp in Brazil’s Equinix SP4. Mehmet Akcin, CEO of EdgeUno, said the partnership allows companies from more than 200 global data centers to connect to and from Latin America on high-availability and low-latency routes.
BSO has 240 data center and exchange locations and is established in 23 countries, according to the company’s website.
