Brunel Pension Partnership CIO to depart in 2025

by Kali Persall

David Vickers, CIO at Brunel Pension Partnership, will be leaving in spring 2025 after four years in the role. Vickers plans to take up a new opportunity at a large endowment fund.

Brunel Pension Partnership is one of eight U.K. Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) pools, which makes long-term, sustainable investments on behalf of its clients.

Vickers joined Brunel in late 2020 following a competitive selection process.

In a recent statement, spokespeople at Brunel said the company is “enormously grateful for David’s commitment to our founding vision, and for the investment insight and people skills he has brought to a very wide-ranging role.”

The spokespeople noted Vickers has been a key player in Brunel’s net-zero journey in recent years, and that his roles on the National Wealth Fund and Global Mining Commission indicate how highly he is valued.
