After closing Brookfield Infrastructure Fund V (BIF V) with $30 billion of committed capital, Brookfield Asset Management is starting early stage discussions about its next infrastructure fund, reported Bloomberg.
BIF VI is being aimed for a 2025 launch, according to people familiar with the matter, writes Layan Odeh of Bloomberg.
BIF V is investing in transportation, renewable power, utilities and data infrastructure assets across North America, Europe, South America and Asia Pacific.
Brookfield Asset Management has $154 billion of fee-paying assets across its infrastructure, renewables and climate-transition businesses.
