Baltimore City Fire & Police Employees' Retirement System has agreed to increase the commitment to Grain Communications Opportunity Fund II (GCOF II) by $4 million, a spokesperson for the pension fund confirmed in an email.
GCOF II, a communications infrastructure fund managed by Grain Management, will invest in fiber-optic communications networks, radio frequency-spectrum licenses, cell towers, ancillary systems and other communications assets.
The fund raised $900 million of equity commitments in 2019, exceeding its initial target of $750 million.
