Arjun Infrastructure Partners invests in biogas project in Denmark

by Kali Persall

Arjun Infrastructure Partners (AIP) has invested in a shovel-ready gas-to-grid biogas project in Denmark, developed by Sustainable Bio Solutions Aabenraa. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Once completed, the plant will be up to four times the size of a typical biogas plant and will supply 41 million Nm3 of methane into the national Danish gas grid, according to DC Advisory, which advised AIP on the investment process.

The project has received approval from the EU Commission–approved 2013 subsidy regime, which will support the project for 20 years, backed by the Danish government.

Completion is targeted for second quarter 2022.
