Ardian agrees to $850m acquisition of CampusParc

Ardian has agreed to acquire CampusParc, a transportation service in Columbus, Ohio, for $850 million including debt, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.

CampusParc owns a long-term concession for parking operations at Ohio State University. The company operates and enforces campus parking, including special events; manages the permit system; and maintains and upgrades parking facilities.

CampusParc is owned by QIC Global Infrastructure and Australian Retirement Trust — formerly known as QSuper. In June 2012, QIC provided Ohio State University with an up-front payment of $483 million and signed a long-term, 50-year lease and concession agreement for the university parking system. In September 2012, the university transitioned the management of its parking operations to CampusParc, the local entity QIC set up to manage the parking lease.
