Adani Group announces $70b green energy investment plan

Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani has revealed the company is planning to invest between $50 billion and $70 billion in organic and inorganic investments across the entire green energy value chain during the next decade.

According to the Economic Times India, this will include investments with potential partners for electrolyzer manufacturing, backward integrations to secure the supply chain for the company’s solar and wind generation businesses, and artificial intelligence–based industrial cloud platforms.

Adani said this puts the company on track to be the world’s largest renewable power-generating company by 2030.

“Adani Group is not sitting still,” said Adani, speaking at an industry event. “We are tripling our solar power generation capacity over the next four years. This is a rate of growth currently unmatched by any other company anywhere on the planet.”
