Actis exits first real estate investment in Vietnam

by Kali Persall

Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has exited its first real estate investment, An Phat 1 Industrial Park (An Phat 1 IP), in Hai Duong, Vietnam. Actis sold its 49 percent stake in the 180-hectare (445-acre) sustainable industrial park to its operating partner, An Phat Holdings (APH), one of the largest manufacturing groups in Vietnam.

An Phat 1 IP, located in the country’s northern key economic zone, is part of Actis’s programmatic investment in the industrial property sector. Actis said it continues to invest in assets and locations that are well located to serve the demand coming from supply-chain diversification. Vietnam has become one of the most attractive destinations for companies looking to diversify their supply chain and meet demand for manufacturing facilities outside of China. APH and Actis selected Hai Duong as the location for the industrial park due to its excellent regional connectivity and abundant supply of skilled workforce.
