3i Infrastructure has paid €182 million ($221 million) for a 60 percent stake in German telecom provider DNS:NET.
Founder and CEO Alexander Lucke will retain a 40 percent stake in the company, following the transaction.
3i Infrastructure said it also will provide additional funding for the future growth of the business.
