Antin Infrastructure Partners and Arié Group have injected €100 million ($107 million) into EV charging station operator Powerdot to fund technological advancements, infrastructure growth and strategic partnerships in Europe, according to reports.
The capital will be used to build a dense network of high-powered Powerdot stations across Poland, as well as to develop technology. Power Dot plans to spend PLN 200 million ($49 million) on infrastructure development in Poland by the end of 2025, noted Grigoriy Grigoriev, CEO of Powerdot in Poland. The company has so far launched more than 250 charging spots in Poland and is in the process of building an additional 1,500, according to reports.
The investment will triple the number of charging DC connectors available in Poland with a capacity of more than 100 kilowatts.
Antin’s NextGen investment platform acquired a co-controlling stake in Powerdot in May 2022, alongside Arié Group and other current shareholders.
