U.K.-based LGPS Central has promoted deputy CIO Gordon Ross to permanent CIO. He will step into the new role on July 1.
LGPS Central manages the pooled assets of eight Midlands-based local government pension schemes. Ross joined the company as investment director for fixed income in February 2018. He became deputy CIO in March 2019.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Ross has more than 39 years of experience in financial markets, with a background in trading, portfolio management, building fixed income businesses, and managing active portfolios in global fixed income sectors. He has worked with various types of teams to provide investment solutions for institutions, pension funds, insurance companies and sovereign wealth funds.
Ross has held roles at JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Invesco, Deutsche Bank, FCA and Morgan Grenfell & Co.
