The $849 million Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System is searching for a private infrastructure manager to run a $20 million investment in a commingled fund.
This is the first time the pension fund is investing in infrastructure. The new search comes after the pension fund considered modifications to its investment portfolio in addition to existing investments in master limited partnerships and timber.
Candidates must have at least five years in operation and at least $3 billion of assets under management. Investment consultant Hartland & Co. is assisting with the search.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due May 26.
