Icade’s Healthcare Property Investment Division has agreed to pay €85 million ($96 million) for a portfolio of four private hospitals in Italy as part of a sale-and-leaseback transaction with Gruppo Villa Maria, one of the main private-hospital operators in Italy.
The four facilities are located in the Italian regions of Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Puglia. Together they total of 262 beds and a floor area of more than 18,500 square meters (199,132 square feet).
Gruppo Villa Maria will operate the assets under 27-year leases.
