Cologix, a network-neutral interconnection and hyperscale edge data center company, has acquired land in Johnstown, Ohio, where it will develop a new 800-megawatt AI-ready data center campus.
Situated on approximately 154 acres, the new campus will feature eight AI-ready data centers when fully built out, delivering a potential 800 megawatts of scalable capacity across 2 million square feet. With a $7 billion investment, this project will strengthen Central Ohio’s role as a critical digital infrastructure hub, supporting the growing demand for AI, hybrid cloud and high-density interconnection solutions.
Cologix said the campus will provide high-density, ultra-low latency and sustainable infrastructure for hyperscalers and enterprises. Development of the first phase is expected to start in 2025.
“As the largest provider of colocation and interconnection solutions in Columbus, we are thrilled to deepen our investment in Central Ohio,” said Laura Ortman, CEO
